Who we are

What we collect
When you start or join a trip, we collect your name, email, phone number, and the trip details you provide (dates, group size, budget, accommodation preference). We ask for your phone number because it may be the fastest way to reach you if something urgent comes up and email isn't getting through - we don't use it for promotions. We don't collect payment details on this site - if you lock in a trip, we send an invoice to your email, which you pay directly via your own bank. We also collect basic usage data - which pages you visit and how you move through the site - to understand where things work well and where people get stuck.
Why we collect it
To plan the trip you've asked about, to follow up with you by email, and to improve this site based on how people actually use it.
Legal basis
We collect and use your information either because you've given us consent (like signing up for our newsletter), because it's necessary to plan and run the trip you've asked for, or because we have a legitimate reason to, like keeping the site running well.
Do we sell or share your data?
No. We never sell your data, and we don't share it with third parties for marketing purposes. We use a small number of trusted tools to run Lark: Lovable Cloud to securely store your details, Google Analytics to understand how people use the site (only if you've said yes to that), and Mailchimp to send you follow-up emails about your trip. None of them can use your data for their own purposes. We may also share your data if the law requires it (for example, a court order), or if Lark is ever sold or merged with another company - in which case your data would move with the business.
International transfers
Some of the tools we use, like Mailchimp and Google Analytics, are based outside the EU. When that happens, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, as required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep your information until you ask us to delete it. Just email us and we'll remove it.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, delete, or restrict how we use your data at any time, or ask for a copy of it in a portable format. You can also object to how it's used. Contact us at larktogether@gmail.com. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in those emails. You can also complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (AKI) if you're unhappy with how we've handled your data.
